Protect What You Received
There is a window between the moment God speaks and the moment you act. What you do in that window determines everything.
Most of us fill it with talking. We call a friend. We share it in a group. We post about it before it has taken root. And we frame it as a matter of community or accountability, when the truth is that we are looking for someone to confirm what we are still too afraid to act on alone.
Premature sharing dilutes the signal.
Not because the people around you are not trustworthy. Some of them are. But not every word God gives you was designed for the community stage. Some things are meant to stay between you and Him until the roots go deep enough to hold the weight of outside opinion.
Here is what stewardship of a word from God looks like in practice:
Write it down exactly as it came. Do not clean it up or make it sound more spiritual. Write the raw version.
Date it. You will want a record of when God spoke this to you. The date matters when you look back later.
Do not over-explain it. The urge to talk through it in circles is a stalling mechanism. Write it. Leave it.
Protect the space it lives in. Not every person in your life has clearance for what God is building in you. Wisdom is knowing the difference.
Stewardship is not silence forever. It is holding what you received long enough to understand it, act on it, and let it take the shape God intended before the weight of other voices reshapes it.
Tomorrow, we will talk about the move you make after you have protected the word. Obedience.
